How to Set Up MirrorCast
Choose your device and connection type below.
Connect to the same network
Make sure your Android phone and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. MirrorCast uses local network discovery to find your device automatically.
Hotspot networks work too β connect your laptop to your phone's hotspot.
Open MirrorCast on your laptop
Go to the Dashboard and click "Connect Device." MirrorCast will scan for devices on your local network and display available phones.
Scan the QR code or enter the PIN
On your phone, open a browser and navigate to the URL shown on screen. Tap "Pair via QR" and scan, or enter the 6-digit PIN manually.
The PIN expires after 90 seconds for security.
Confirm the session on your phone
A session confirmation dialog will appear on your phone. Tap "Start Mirroring" to begin. The stream starts within 2 seconds.
Common Questions
14 questions across connection, performance, security, and features.
Both devices must be on the same network subnet. If you're using a corporate or university Wi-Fi, the network may block device discovery. Try using your phone as a hotspot and connecting your laptop to it, then use Wi-Fi mode.
